Deal Structure

Long-term supply contracts with defined commercial terms.

Meridian Mercantile Group structures iron ore supply agreements on a monthly recurring basis. Contracts are executed under a standard Sale and Purchase Agreement following the completion of our 10-step transaction procedure.

All transactions are principal-to-principal. We do not participate in intermediary chains, NCND arrangements, or unverified buyer networks. Counterparty KYC and financial instrument readiness are required before FCO issuance.

Delivery Terms

FOBFree On Board

Seller delivers cargo on board the nominated vessel at loading port. Buyer assumes risk and freight cost from that point.

Suitable for: Buyers with established freight arrangements and vessel nomination capability.

CIFCost, Insurance & Freight

Seller arranges and pays for freight and insurance to the named discharge port. Risk transfers on loading.

Suitable for: Buyers preferring a delivered price with seller-managed logistics.

CFRCost & Freight

Seller pays freight to discharge port. Buyer arranges insurance. Risk transfers on loading.

Suitable for: Buyers who self-insure or have existing marine cargo cover.

Payment Instruments

LC / DLC

Irrevocable Letter of Credit or Documentary Letter of Credit transmitted via SWIFT. Preferred instrument for first-time transactions and large-volume contracts.

Issued by top-100 bank. Must be operative and irrevocable.

Documentary LC

Irrevocable Documentary Letter of Credit. Accepted for established counterparties with confirmed transaction history.

Confirmed by seller's bank. UCP 600 terms apply.

DLC

Deferred Letter of Credit. Available for qualified buyers on agreed deferred payment schedules.

Subject to credit assessment and prior transaction record.
